U8 Leopards Start the Season in Style

U8 Leopards
What a sensational start of the season today!
I saw fast strikers, skilful midfielders and powerful defenders. I saw wonderful personal performance and great team work.
We controlled the ball at least 70% of the time, and the result is unbelievable. 9:2!
Congratulations to all players!
Special thanks to Tomi who managed to play despite of sickness and made 3 goals!
Looking forward to Shiraz and James coming back next week.
Let's keep it going!

WAA compete in Charity 7-a-side Tournament

On Sunday 9th October some of our WAA squad played in the UTS 7-a-side tournament at Charles Bean Oval, although they didn't win the tournament they had good fun and were proudly supported by Pippa Lindsay, WAA player Holly Lindsay's daughter and grand-daughter of their coach Nick Mountford.

60th Year 7-a-side Tournament

To celebrate Wahroonga Tigers FC 60th anniversary a Club 7-a-side tournament was arranged with representatives of all the Clubs Senior teams competing in a mixed competition.

The event took place on Sunday 11th September at Ku-Ring-Gai High School with over 40 players from Men's and Women's all age, plus players from the Men's O35's and O45's getting involved.

The games were played in great spirit with plenty of quality football - the matches were all evenly contested and enjoyed by all players.  Captain of the winning team Dave Whitett - seen holding up the trophy - commented on what an excellent event it was.

With the success of the tournament the committee are looking at making this an annual event - something that all of those who participated would be very pleased to see!
